AP Pre-Registration Workshop at MHS!

ALL students enrolled in AP courses are required to attend the AP Pre-Registration Workshop on Wednesday, April 16th at 2:20pm in Cafeteria B. If students are unable to attend because of work, family commitments, activities, athletics, etc…all have been told, via AP Exam letter, to make arrangements with Ms. Karamcheti PRIOR to Wednesday.

Fall 2013 BHCC Dual Enrollment Meeting

On Wednesday, April 10th, there will be an informational meeting for students interested in taking a fall Bunker Hill Community College Dual Enrollment class. The meeting will take place in the MHS library at 2:30pm. BHCC Dual Enrollment courses are free to all MHS students and are available in both pre-college and college levels.  Come learn more about this great opportunity!

MHS Scheduling Appointments

Attention all students!

You school guidance counselors will be available during mid-term examination week, January 22-25, to make any corrections or additions to your second semester classes. Students are NOT allowed to drop classes at this time. Students who are interested in adding classes can refer to the Program of Studies. This can be found on the MHS website under “School Year Information.” Please see your school guidance counselor directly to discuss your scheduling options.

Spring BHCC Dual Enrollment Meeting

There will be a mandatory meeting for all students registered for a spring Bunker Hill Dual Enrollment course on Wednesday, January 16th at 2:30pm in the MHS Gallery. Students will receive text books, schedules, and other important information. Students should see Mrs. O’Connor in the Jenkins House office with questions.

9th Grade Family Night at MHS

Malden High School will host a 9th grade family night on Tuesday October 2, 2012 in the Jenkins Auditorium. The event will start at 6:30pm. This is a great opportunity to learn about the high school, policies and procedures, extra-curricular activities, and about our online (Aspen X2) student/parent portal. Also, principals, teachers, guidance counselors, and other support staff will be available after the program. There will be translators available at the event for families that need assistance.

Free SAT Prep Program: Let’s Get Ready

Let’s Get Ready offers free SAT prep courses to seniors at Malden High School.  College students from Boston University will come to Malden High School to prepare students for the December 1st exam.  In addition, they will help students research colleges, work on applications, write personal statements and more.  The program also includes a presentation about financial aid and scholarships, and a college visit.  Let’s Get Ready runs Tuesday and Thursday nights from 6:00-9:00 and starts on September 25.  For more information about this fun, free program, CLICK HERE

Attention Jenkins House Juniors!

Do to circumstances beyond our control, Mrs. O’Connor will not be available on Thursday for schedule adjustments. Mrs. Klibansky will be at MHS in the Jenkins House Office to help any students who need immediate assistance from 8:30am to 11:30am. Schedule change forms will be available in the Main Office and the Library. Students can fill one out and leave it for Ms. O’Connor.  Also, Ms. O’Connor will also be available on Friday, if you would prefer to meet with her in person.

MHS Scheduling Meetings

Schedules for students in Grades 9-12 have been mailed home along with important information that should be reviewed, signed and returned to Malden High School. If you did not get a schedule in the mail, you can also access this information on your X2 account!

Students in Grades 10-12 will have an opportunity during the week of August 20th to meet with their guidance counselor to resolve schedule issues. Each grade has been assigned a specific day and time. Please be sure to come during your scheduled session as guidance counselors have a variety of responsibilities to attend to before the opening of school. Also, please be aware that students will be seen on a first come first serve basis. Be prepared to wait…could be a great time to catch up on summer reading or AP assignments!

Grade 12 – Wednesday August 22nd from 8:30am to 2:15pm

REGISTRATION DATES: June 18 – June 22 from 8:00 am – 1:00 pm in the Brunelli House Office

TUITION: Tuition is payable in full at time of registration, in cash or money order only. Courses: $175.00 per course for Malden Public Schools student. $ 220.00 per course for non-Malden Public Schools student

REFUND POLICY: No refunds will be available after the close of registration. Tuition is refundable due to cancellation of class due to insufficient enrollment. The Malden High Summer School Program reserves the right to cancel any course due to lack of enrollment

ATTENDANCE POLICY: No more than two (2) absences will be allowed per course. Three (3) tardy entries and/ or early dismissals will equal one (1) absence.
